Bio

I began my career in the 9-1-1 profession in 1991 with Southern Oregon Regional Communications (SORC) in beautiful Jackson County Oregon, located on the southern end of Oregon bordering California along the I-5 corridor. I worked as a Dispatcher and Training Officer for 5 years before being promoted to Dispatch Supervisor in 1996.

In 2001, I was promoted to Assistant Director, and subsequently appointed as Director in May of 2006. I have served as Vice President and President of the Oregon combined Chapter of APCO/NENA, and  on the Oregon Chapter Executive Board as the APCO International Executive Council Representative for Oregon before being elected to serve as a Western Regional Representative on the APCO International Board of Directors.  I also served on the APCO International Awards committee, and was fortunate to participate in the first RPL course, as well as the first CPE course, becoming one of the first members to receive each of these certifications.

Beginning in 2007, I was fortunate to be involved in planning and designing a brand new 9-1-1 facility in Jackson County Oregon, designed to facilitate the consolidation of the two 9-1-1 Dispatch Centers in our County.

In 2009 we moved into our new facility, and on July 1st, 2010, SORC and RVCCOM consolidated into a single PSAP serving 29 law, fire, and EMS agencies with a population of just over 213,000 residents. With consolidation, our PSAP was re-named Emergency Communications of Southern Oregon (ECSO), and I am honored to have been selected by our governing boards to serve as the Director.
