Experienced Director Of Communications with a demonstrated history of working in the government administration industry. Skilled in 9-1-1 Consolidation PSAP Management and Accreditations, Crisis Management, Government, Emergency Management, Law Enforcement, Fire, Emergency Medical Services, and Project Management.

NOTABLE ACCOMPLISHMENTS

• Implemented C.A.L.E.A. accreditation in 2009 and reaccreditation in
2012 and 2015.
• Effected A.P.C.O. P-33 accreditation in 2009 and reaccreditation
in 2012 and 2015. Durham is one of only a few select emergency
communications centers that have achieved accreditations in three
separate areas – (C.A.L.E.A., A.P.C.O. P-33, and N.A.E.M.D.)
• First P.S.A.P. in North Carolina to employ a NG-911 system with
Intrado.
• First P.S.A.P. in the country to initiate true 9-1-1 texting with a major
wireless carrier – Verizon Wireless in 2011. First P.S.A.P. to
implement 9-1-1 texting with all four major carriers.
• Served as principal member of City of Durham’s Strategic Planning
Committee that established overall goals and objectives. Functioned as
as the first Goal Champion for all of Public Safety.
• Initiated validated yearly performance exams for personnel in order to
maintain optimal efficiency.
• Implemented A.S.A.P. (Automated Security Alarm Protocol) that
substantially reduced response times and is the next generation for the
processing of information from alarm monitoring stations.
