I am the Training Coordinator of the City or Roanoke E911 Center. My center is a Nationally Accredited Public Safety Agency through CALEA. I started with the City of Roanoke E911 Center in March of 1995 and within a week I was completely hooked! Becoming a trainer was an easy transition for me as I learned that I love to teach others and help them through the tough process of becoming a Telecommunicator. My department created a Training Coordinator position in late 2007 and I received my promotion and started my new position in January of 2008. I have a loving "son" Maxwell Haus who is a chocolate lab. I love this proffesion and have grown up on the job as they say, always trying to keep my mind open to other opinions and counsel from all levels of employees to better myself in my career and as a person. I enjoy teaching at the fall APCO/NENA Conferences held here in Roanoke and appreciate the opportunities being an APCO member has granted me, and the experiences that have enhanced my personal and proffesional growth progress through the years. I give all thanks to God for instilling in me the abilities that make me a succesful dispatcher (yes I can still do that : ) ) Training Coordinator and presenter. Apart from Him I have nothing.
