Jim Lanier, ENP, MPA proudly serves as the Global Manager leading OnStar’s Public Safety Engagement and Strategy team. Jim has been involved in public safety for 40 years including experience as a firefighter, paramedic, and 911 operations and leadership. Jim holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Emergency Management and has a master’s degree in Public Administration. In addition to being certified as a National Emergency Number Association (NENA) Emergency Number Professional (ENP) since 2006, Jim serves on various NENA working group committees. Jim has also been an active member of the Association of Public Safety Communications Officials (APCO) for over 25 years and is a member of the College of Fellows and the Board of Accreditation with the International Academies of Emergency Dispatch (IAED).
