I started my telecommunications career in 1994 as a Communications Officer with the Washington State Patrol in Tacoma. I promoted to a Communications Officer 2 (Lead/Training Dispatcher) in 2003 and then promoted to a Communications Officer 3 (Supervisor) in 2004. I spent nearly 3 years as the CAD Systems Administrator/Trainer. I worked in our Tacoma, Seattle, Spokane and Headquarters offices through the years.
In 2009, I left the WSP to become the Communications Center Manager for the City of Puyallup. The Communications Center serves the City of Puyallup Police & Public Works, Bonney Lake Police Department, Sumner Police Department and Metro Animal Services.
I live in the Puyallup, Washington area with my wife and 4 kids. In 2006, my wife and I lost our 2 year old girl to complications of a congenital heart defect. In 2007, we founded a non-profit organization called Jamie's Heart Foundation in memory of our daughter. This organization provides financial and emotional support to children with congenital heart defects and their families. I serve as the President and Founder of this organization and on my free time work visit children in hospitals and attempt to provide hope to families struggling financial and emotionally.
