Bio

I have been involved in public safety and customer service since I was sixteen years old. I started out as a bag boy at Winn–Dixie working my way up to Co–Location Manager. I enlisted in the US Air Force Reserve several months after graduating high school. I was activated under Presidential Recall for Operations Desert Storm/Shield and deployed for several short term deployments in support of ongoing operations in the Persian Gulf. I started volunteering with my local fire department while I was in high school and continued to volunteer for nearly ten years eventually becoming involved with the first responder medical program. I decided to leave retail and took employment as a Correctional Officer with the State of North Carolina where I stayed for just over two years. I took up emergency dispatch part time and gained experience which led me to my current position as an Emergency Communications Supervisor. I am also a member of NENA and registered as an ENP. I am a graduate of the Raleigh Police Department's 7th Leadership Academy and the first member of the RWECC to attend. In my free time I enjoy involving my self in amateur radio earning the call sign, KK4ETW. As time allows I involve myself in DX communications, ARES and RACES. I currently hold a general class license. I am registered with Wake Co ARES/RACES and a member of the Capital Area All Hazzards Incident Management Team.
