I have been a Public Safety Communications professional since 1975! Starting as a police dispatcher eventually becoming the Communications Coordinator (Director) in 1997. I have been active in APCO Intl at both the Chapter and National level, achieving Life Member status in 2009. Previous chair of APCO Project RETAINS and APCO's Call Center Standards Committee. In addition to my work with APCO I currently serve as a CALEA Commissioner (Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies), previously serving as a CALEA Assessor/Team Leader, leading on-site assessments for police and communications agencies.
