Sheila Hanna Kirkland is the Product Demonstration Specialist with Emeres, Inc. She is one of the most prominent voices advocating for 9-1-1 Telecommunicators in public safety. She began her career at a 9-1-1 communication center in South Carolina. For the next several years, Sheila worked at two other centers and built three CTO programs and one Quality Assurance program. Sheila later joined APCO International as an instructor and employee for over 20 years serving as the Education and Training Administrator. Prior to joining Emeres, Inc., Sheila was the 911 Director for Laurens County, SC.
Sheila is a published author; she released her memoir “Finding Daddy” which explains the stress of working in the public safety industry after going through a personal tragedy.
She is a wife, mother, and grandmother.
