I started in public safety as a police dispatcher in 1987. I retired from the City of Longview, TX in 2009 to take the Director position at Blaine County Emergency Communications in Hailey, ID. During my tenure with the City of Longview I was a TCIC/NCIC Associate Instructor, APCO EMD Instructor, and TCLEOSE Instructor. I was a member of APCO and NENA and served on the NENA Education and Training Committee. In Blaine County I was a member of the Idaho PSAP Standards Committee, working to establish training standards for telecommunicators in the state of Idaho.
We recently moved back to Texas and I am now Director of Communications for the Rowlett Police Departrment.
