I began my career as a 9-1-1 Dispatcher/Jailer in 1993 and have worked for both large and small agencies. I am very passionate about our profession and will do all I can to help not only my staff reach their goals but to assist others as well. I am actively involved in Texas APCO on committees and training sessions at conferences. Within my agency I am Agency Administrator, Terminal Agency Coordinator, PSAP Supervisor, Associate Trainer, Basic Instructor, SAFVIC for TCP's Instructor, Master Telecommunicator, TERT Leader and CEO for NCMEC.
I continue to set goals for myself so I can become an instructor in many courses to where I can aide in the proper training of current and up and coming 911 Telecommunicators. I want to help erase the negative in our profession and bring the positive to the front. I want to bridge the gap between 911 Telecommunicators and First Responders, to rid the term "Just a Dispatcher" and show that we are the golden thread that holds it all together between the red and blue lines.
