Call for Panelists:

Front Line Public Safety Communications Officers

Process Analysis for Call Processing

APCO International is planning to conduct a process analysis validation for the task of call processing.

High performing practitioners are the best qualified individuals to accurately describe their occupation; we need your assistance recommending panelists to participate in this one-day workshop. We are looking for high performing Front Line Public Safety Communications Officers to form a panel that comprises a representative sampling within the East Coast region.

The purpose of this process is to assist APCO International’s Communications Center Standards Committee in developing, revising or maintaining national training standards.  These national standards will further the profession and it is important that subject matter experts are included in their development. The workshop requires no preparation because you already know what you do each day as a high performing incumbent professional. This analysis may also become a model for your region.  Not only will public safety communications benefit from each professional’s participation, but each panelist will also be recognized for their efforts with a panel listing on the final occupation profile.

The workshop will be held on January 12th 2015 at Stafford County Sheriff’s Office Communications Division located at 1225 Courthouse Rd, Stafford VA 22554. Casual, comfortable attire is recommended. Limited travel reimbursement may be available.

Selected panelists should plan to arrive by 0800 hours for registration. The panel will begin promptly at 0830 hours. Lunch will be provided by APCO International.  The workshop will conclude by 1600 hours.

If you are a Front Line Public Safety Communications Officers of if you would like to recommend someone to represent your agency, please contact ntidey@orangecountyva.gov  by January 8th 2015.  Thank you for your assistance building this important panel. We are anticipating a productive and successful workshop. If you should have any questions or need additional information, please do not hesitate to contact me.
