I began my career as a dispatcher in 2000 at Roanoke County PD, I moved to Charlottesville in July 2001 and began working at the Charlottesville-UVA-Albemarle County Emergency Communications Center. In July of 2007 I was promoted to Public Safety Communications Supervisor, then as an Operations Manager and Deputy Director. Recently I have decided to go back to my roots and what I love and i'm back on the radio where I plan to finish out my career. I am a Registered Public Safety Leader (RPL) and a graduate of the West Point Leadership Program (WPLP). I have an associate's degree in Criminal Justice. I have been involved in APCO for a number of years as a member and past Chair Person of the APCO International ProCHRT committee as well as the current Chair person of the APCO MCSC. In my spare time I volunteer with a Rescue Group called Dogs Deserve Better Blue Ridge as their medical coordinator and I enjoy camping with my husband, my fur babies, and my friends.
