Mr. Jared Pelham

Hamilton County 911 Emergency Communications District

Bio

My name is Jared Pelham. For the past 18+ years, I have had the privilege to serve in many roles in Emergency Services and Public Safety beginning as an EMT working for our counties ambulance service. That adventure led me to this amazing profession which I have remained in for the past 14 years in Public Safety Communications beginning as a dispatcher for our county’s EMS and volunteer fire departments. Following consolidation of our 9-1-1 center, I became one of the (4) Evening Shift Floor Supervisors from March 2009 through October 2013. In October of 2013, I earned and accepted a new role at the District by joining our Training and Quality Assurance Team. This new role, as with being a Floor Supervisor, was an amazing adventure. As of today, I have begun a new adventure accepting a role as a Shift Supervisor. I will be serving (4) Floor Supervisors and (48) Front Line Telecommunicators. I have accomplished several personal and professional goals including completing NENA’s Center Managers Certification Program (CMCP) and earning my Emergency Number Professional (ENP) certification. I currently serve on several Public Safety Communications committees with NENA, APCO, and the State Tennessee. I also completed APCO’s RPL program in October 2018. I have been married to my wife Janice for 21 years, and I have a wonderful 13 year old boy named Caleb. Within Emergency Services I have the blessed opportunity serving as an Assistant Chief of a small volunteer rescue squad in Hamilton County, Tennessee (S.T.A.R.S.) where I helps lead 40 volunteers running search and rescue, Swiftwater, dive and special event operations. .
