I want to take this opportunity to thank all of you who supported and voted for me for APCO 2nd Vice President. It was oh so close, a mere 60 votes. I knew going in that it would be difficult to beat a candidate from a chapter with hundreds of voting members. However, we gave it a great try.
There are too many individuals to specifically mention but a special thank you to my close friend and fellow APCO member Jack Varnado and to three Past Presidents, Chris Fischer, Willis Carter and Dick Mirgon who, as recent Past Presidents of our great association, publicly stated that they believed I was the right choice to lead APCO into the future and attempt to bring back the synergy that existed during their terms together on the Executive Committee.
There is one other special person I want to publicly thank, who also happens to be active in our association, without whom I could have not attempted this endeavor, my wife Penny.
