As my opponent has blogged, the 2012 APCO Officer Elections are now open on line. As you can see my name is Brent Lee, a former Exectutive Council Member and the other candidate for 2nd Vice President. I too want to encourage you to vote.
I, like my opponent, am an APCO Life Member. Just as my opponent believes he is the best choice, I believe my service to the association, along with my background make me the better choice for the Office of 2nd Vice President. and here is why. The offices on the Executive Committee are truely ones of leadership. Leadsrship is proven, not just stated.
I encourage you to look at my profile and you will see that my involvement in the Nevada Chapter and APCO Int'l show leadership positions as well as a dedication to the proper and deserved recognition of the greatest percentage of our members, telecommunicators. My profile outside of APCO isn't as lengthy as my opponents but then again, I believe that my RECENT LEADERSHIP involvement within the Nevada Chapter and APCO Int'l, rather than everything I accomplished in my 30 year Public Safety career as a police executive, that qualifies me to be your next 2nd Vice President.
If you received my postcard reminding you to vote then you have seen that three RECENT Past Presidents, Willis Carter, Chris Fischer and Richard Mirgon have publically stated their belief that "Brent Lee has the knowledge and the skills necessary to enable him to foster cooperation, build consensus and provide the strong and effective leadership needed to make APCO even stronger..."
