Full Moon Survey

By Debra Peterson posted 01-31-2011 15:19

There has long been a myth that says "the crazy people come out with the full moon". I am looking for three 911 call centers that can provide data for a study I am doing for college classes.  Ideally, these centers would utilize the a standard protocol to ensure that all calls were processed by the same standard.  I would need to receive the data back no later than February 7th, 2011.  Participation is greatly appreciated and results will be returned to the call centers
who participate.  I realize this is very short notice, and I hope you might have the time to help us out.  If you would
like a spreadsheet to enter your data into, please email john.park@slcgov.com, or I am happy to accept data in any format you can produce.  Thank you for your help!

Survey Questions:

1.) Does your call center utilize a standard protocol? yes/no

2.) Do your 911 calltakers handle both Fire/Medical and police calls? yes/no

3.) Does your call center service a population base over 100,000 people? yes/no

4.) Does your call center utilize a quality assurance process to verify calltaker accuracy? yes/no

5.) In the year 2010, what is the total number of 911 assault, shooting/stabbing, psychiatric, and overdose calls you received, sorted by day?

6.) In the year 2010, what is the total number of 911 calls you received, sorted by day?

Thank you for any help you can give.

Debra - What an interesting project you are working on!
For possibly more input, I suggest you post this as a new post under the Open Forum. Open Forum postings get emailed out to everyone in the system. A blog "sits" there waiting to be read.
Anything I can do to help - let me know.
