It is not a requirment that we update the call type change if it is not what it was first reported however if an officer asks the dispatcher to do so they will. It's not a huge issue. As for the changing of the incident location, I think that is a must as not only does it reflect statistics, but it is a responder safety issue. The same officer is not always working the same area and when new officers work the road they are not going to be familiar with the residents of that location if numerous responses for domestics or officer safety issues. We flag certain addresses at our users request for door codes, medical response instructions, etc so it has to be attached to the address directly.
