New Employee Training Program.

I was inquiring as to how long most PSAPs New employee training is. Ours is currently 4 units, with about 12-16 weeks depending on the call volume. What is average?

We have a formal academy for 3 months then they go to shift for hands on. Handson lasts another 8 to 9 months bringing them right up on a year of training and working with a CTO. During the hands on phase they also attend some out of town training and get the NAEMD certi.

Ours last 4-6 months and can be extended depending on the trainee.
