It was recently suggested that I may be over compliant by having auto rebid set for 30 seconds. This article was brought to my attention and please note this was created in 2007. I feel that many changes have happened since this article was published and the 911 community has had enough success and failures to determine if the rebid should be left up to a call taker who is handling a very stressful call. If you read the whole Guide it also states you are to notify the caller there may be a slight interruption (when rebid is manually done) but please stay on the line. Is this still a problem?
I will not turn off the auto rebid in any of my PSAPs.

Rebids / Re-Query:
380741 The AHJ should not rebid (automatically or manually) less than 30 seconds after the call is first presented to the calltaker. Any subsequent rebids should be at 30-second intervals. If automatic rebid is used, only the first rebid should be automatic.
