APCO is pleased to announce the introduction of the newly updated Public Safety Telecommunicator (PST) 1, 8th Edition course. Effective September 30, 2026, the PST 1, 8th Edition and PST 1, 8th Edition, Instructor courses will replace the PST 7th Edition versions.
Accordingly, any PST 7th Edition certificate holder is required to complete an update course. To assist current PST certificate holders with the transition, APCO will offer both update courses weekly from September 30, 2026, through September 26, 2028. Each course takes approximately two hours to complete. The PST update course fees are $129 for APCO members and $159 for non-members.
The update course must be completed by September 26, 2028. Registration is now open.
