Volunteering on an APCO standards working group is a valuable way to share your knowledge and expertise while connecting with other industry colleagues. Three APCO standards working groups are accepting applications, one of which is highlighted below:
Public Safety Communications Common Status Codes for Data Exchange (Revision) – This standard revision addresses the ongoing need for enhanced interoperability among emergency response agencies by providing an updated and comprehensive list of descriptive terms for tracking emergency responder activities.
If you are already part of a working group, you can volunteer for up to three, and most groups require just a few hours of participation each month. The deadline to apply is Friday, October 31.
