The Montana APCO Chapter would like to invite all public safety personnel to its annual conference extravaganza in Kalispell at the Red Lion Inn! Save the dates of October 12 and 13th. This year promises to be the most exciting yet with another appearance from Immediate Past President Bill Carrow! We have been extremely fortunate to have Bill here for the fourth year in a row to present awards!! Nomination forms are located on the website at www.mtapco.org and must be submitted to Lecia Kelly at lkelly@chouteaucosomt.com by September 26th, 2011. Please take the time to nominate an outstanding performer in your agency!!!!! Westek Marketing will once again very graciously offering a cash prize of $250 for each winner in each category!!!!!! The conference will offer many training tracks for dispatchers, administrators and technical issues facing Public Safety Dispatchers. We will offer presentations about Pro-Chrt, the Professional Communications Human Resources taskforce created by Bill Carrow and forging new grounds with a new, second edition report that will expose countless issues faced by the profession of Public Safety Dispatching today and what promises to be more challenges in the future. It’s a must read for everyone involved in the public safety arena. There’s been a tremendous amount of work completed and the new online certification will be discussed at the conference. Montana APCO will also present an update on the 20 year retirement legislation, the results of the 2011 vote and preparation for the 2013 legislature. APCO has a new logo!
