I am a county-level homeland security/emergency management agency director, and E911 director. The E911 service is far more time consuming than my HSEM roles within the county. I am employed by Randolph County, Indiana which is in east-central Indiana. There are 16 total public safety telecommunicators in our center. I hold certifications from APCO in PST-1, EMD, Law Service Communications, Fire Service Communications, Communications Training Officer, PST-1 Instructor, EMD Instructor, and Fire Service Instructor.
In my previous lives I have served as a full-time police officer where I retired after 20.25 years of full-time experience and 2 years of reserve experience. I hold certifications as a first-class firefighter, advanced emergency medical technician, a psycho-motor instructor, and correctional officer. I worked in a dispatch center straight out of high school some 35 years ago and long before our county went 911. Lastly, I have served in the US Army as a military police officer.
I am divorced x 2. I have three adult children and one grand daughter, and two dogs.
