I began my career in the public safety sector in 1997, where I began as a front-line dispatcher. Through my dedication and determination, I advanced over the years through the ranks of the West Monroe Police Department as a Dispatcher, Uniform Patrol Officer, Detective, Police Technical Services Officer and Public Information Officer.
Through my tenure at the West Monroe Police department I had the experience of managing the public safety department’s telephony, dispatching and information systems for approximately 120+ users and 80+ mobile clients, for the City of West Monroe. I also worked closely with other surrounding PSAPS as the project manager for our department through the implementation of several large scale parish wide public safety projects & implementations.
In December of 2018, I was selected by the Ouachita Parish Police Jury and given the distinct honor of leading the Ouachita Parish 911 Communication District. The District supports (11) secondary PSAPs with a population of approximately 155k and processes an annual call volume of approximately 90k.
