I began my 9-1-1 career in 1998 after a volunteer role with the West Newbury Emergency Management Agency led me to become a certified telecommunicator. Over the years, I discovered a passion for helping and inspiring others in public safety communications, which led me to begin instructing in 2005.
I have served as an instructor for the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency’s Nuclear Preparedness Division, as an APCO Agency Instructor, and as a CERT Instructor and Program Manager. In 2012, I joined the APCO Institute as an adjunct instructor, teaching online, virtual, and in-person courses.
I currently serve as Operations Manager at the Regional Emergency Communications Center in Middleton and previously served as West Newbury’s Emergency Management Director from 2011 to 2023. I have also held leadership roles with the Massachusetts Supervisors Association, Atlantic APCO Chapter, and Massachusetts NENA Chapter.
I hold the NENA Emergency Number Professional (ENP) certification, am an APCO Registered Public-Safety Leader (RPL), and am a graduate of the Fitch & Associates Communications Center Manager program. In 2013, I received the Jeffrey Grossman 9-1-1 Award for dedication to advancing public safety in Massachusetts.
I am committed to supporting the growth of public safety professionals and empowering the next generation of 9-1-1 leaders. Outside of work, I enjoy animals, the outdoors, and spending time with family and friends.
