I have been in Public Safety since 2000. I started out volunteering at our local EMS department as a driver. I took the EMT-Basic course in 2001, shortly after that I was hired for a medical transport company where I moved up to Dispatch Supervisor. I immediately found my passion. I helped direct, coordinate and map out anywhere from 300-400 transports a day. In 2008 I took a job as a 911 dispatcher for Delaware County 911 where I worked my way up to Training Coordinator. Dispatching and teaching...the PERFECT job in my eyes and heart. I left for a short time to try being a full time Advanced EMT, which turned out to be an old dream that no longer fit me. I went back to 911 dispatching after a year and half.
My dream now is to continue dispatching, teach when I can and spend time with my family. My family has always been my biggest supporter and I couldn't imagine life without them.
