I currently serve as the Public Safety Statewide Interoperability Coordinator (SWIC) for the state of Washington. Prior to that, I served nearly two successful decades in the 9-1-1 center, starting as a call taker and working my way up to Director, following which I spent a couple of years in higher education, and the summer months on wildland fires working in various communications units.
As a volunteer since the age of 12, I have been involved with CERT, Civil Air Patrol, the Washington State Guard, the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary and the Kittitas County Auxiliary Communications Service, serving in roles related to emergency management and emergency communications.
