Janet Hamilton began her career in dispatch in 1992. Shortly thereafter she assisted in creating the training program for the dispatch center. Throughout her career she participated in several groups, committees, and subcommittees with Florida NENA and APCO. Now in Oklahoma she has started a training program with Rogers County 911 Dispatch Center and teaches APCO PST I and APCO Fire Service. She obtained her ENP certification in 2001.
Throughout her career she is responsible for implementing Phase I and II Wireless 9-1-1, VoIP 9-1-1 Calls, and building a geo-diverse redundant network. Direct involvement of five 9-1-1 cut-overs. Three were new construction and 2 upgrades.
