Jon has been involved in Emergency Services since he was a 15 year old Police Explorer. Since that time Jon has worked in the private sector, and also in Police, Fire, and EMS professionally. Jon finished his senior year in high school a month early and began training as a public safety dispatcher for the West Newbury MA Police department. He has gone on to work as a per-diem Dispatcher, full time Dispatcher and Communications Training Officer, and IT Manager. Jon Oversaw the design, and build out of a new communications center in his previous department as they converted a school into a seven million dollar municipal complex with built in police station.
Jon now works as the Chief Coordinator for the Lakes Region Mutual Fire Aid District, based out of Laconia NH. LRMFA dispatches Fire/EMS and coordinates mutual aid for 35 communities in central NH.
A favorite part of Jons position is the ability to host, coordinate, and conduct training for internal employees, and employees from area departments. Jon is an APCO certified CTO and CTO instructor. Jon is also APCO certified to teach the APCO Fire Service Communications program, CTO Program, and the APCO Public Safety Dispatcher program. Jon also enjoys creating, and delivering training on a multitude of subjects.
Jon has been published in the National Journal of Emergency Dispatch.
Jon also works in the field as a Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician at the Advanced level and serves as a Captain overseeing EMS for his hometown call fire department.
