Shift supervisor at our regional fire/EMS PSAP. Our coverage area comprises urban, suburban, residential, commercial and industrial settings. Previously supervised new-hire and CEU training in our bureau during it's transition to a regional center.. Individually, cited twice for meritorious service. As a supervisor with my shift, cited (4) times for meritorious conduct. Externally represent our bureau and the consortium on the state fire chiefs association communications sub-committee and Ohio chapters of APCO and NENA. BA in Political Science, MA in Public Administration. Achieved APCO-RPL certification in fall of 2018. NENA ENP certification in 2021. Past Co-Chair of Ohio TERT.
Our regional center is a combined effort of (6) agencies in eastern metro Columbus, and protects an approximated population of 140,000 persons.
Served 9 years as Secretary and Bureau Steward of our IAFF Local affiliate, and head of the communications workgroup. I was charged with administrative reporting to state and national organizations, creation and maintenance of information streams, social-based and traditional. Strong proponent of organized labor and equal treatment in the workplace. In this respect, have gained experience in coordination and group coalition work, population behavior analysis, and demographic surveys.
Passionate about the local area, and continually diligent over making our region a great place to work, play, and live. Strong advocate for increased Fire/EMS PSAP representation at all levels.
