Bio

I was born and raised here in Amarillo, Texas and I love the Texas Panhandle. I did not know what I wanted to do with my life until one day in 1991, I answered an add for a Telecommunicator Oper position for the City of Amarillo. I went to work with the City of Amarillo and moved over to Randall County Sheriff's Department where I started as a 9-1-1 operator/dispatcher and went on to become a Jailer and Deputy. I followed my educational urges and became a Police Officer at West TX A& M University where I finished my degree. Through it all I always have had a soft spot for dispatch. I was in the Police Academy when I met my soul mate and husband, Jason. I was working as a police officer when I got pregnant with my one and only son, Joshua, in 2000. After having Josh, I decided that I wanted a much safer and less stressful job. I took a couple of years off with Josh and then I found the Panhandle Regional Planning Commission and the Regional 9-1-1 Network. I started working here in 2008 and I love, love, love my job. I am the Regional 9-1-1 Program Specialist.
In 2018, I was recruited by the Amarillo Emergency Comm Center and hired to work as a Sr Supervisor.  It has been a long hard year but I am doing well and learning more everyday.  It is good to be back in the trenches again!
