Started as Volunteer Firefighter/EMT with Allentown Road Volunteer Fire Department Inc. in Fort Washington Maryland in 1993. Received training from both the University of Maryland College Park: Maryland Fire and Rescue Institute and the PGFD Training Academies in Fire suppression and Rescue Techniques. Experience on Engine, Heavy Rescue Squad, Ladder Truck and Ambulance Operations.
Volunteer experience enabled me to obtain full time jobs with University of Maryland Shock Trauma in Baltimore Maryland as EMT/Critical Care Patient Transfer Coordinator for entire Hospital System for University of Maryland Medical Center. Hired with PGFD as a Public Safety Aide II/EMT-B (Temporary job) working full time on RESCUE 3, and Ambulance 826. Working in Central PG County Maryland as an EMT and working at Shock Trauma in Baltimore Maryland taught me more than any college class ever could.
Medical support Team for US Capitol Police for the US Capitol/Hart Senate Office Building Anthrax clean up from the terrorist attacks in October of 2001.
Currently a member of Loudoun County Volunteer Rescue Squad in Leesburg VA. Serving on several committees including Apparatus Design and Purchasing.
