With his background in curriculum and instruction, Tim Scanlon works with the APCO Institute on the development of new courses and the revision of existing courses for live, virtual, or online delivery. Recent courses have included: Fundamentals of Tactical Dispatch, 1st Ed., CTO 6th Ed., and Crisis Negotiations, 2d Ed. Forthcoming revisions include the new Fire Service Communications, 3rd Ed., and Disaster Operations, 2d Ed.
Prior to joining APCO, Tim spent most of the past 10 years designing, developing and delivering pre-deployment training programs for the US military's Special Operations Command. His experience in the public safety field began shortly after 9/11 when he worked under contract to the NY Police Department in developing and administering language proficiency tests for law enforcement officers.
