Bio

In 1996 I happened to be in the right place at the right time. I found myself applying for a job as a 9-1-1 Telecommunicator/Dispatcher. I just knew landing this job would earn me a visit with William Shatner or Oprah. Here I am not quite 20 years later and I absolutely love this profession. I no longer answer the phones, I now teach other people how to answer the phones. I am extremely passionate about 9-1-1, sometimes to a fault. I want to train people to be the absolute best they can be. I never met William Shatner, and today's trainees have no idea why someone from Star Trek has anything to do with 9-1-1. As for Oprah, I'm sure she will be calling, but I did change my number. There are ups and downs in this profession, and I have rode through them all. I love that our profession throws different things at us each and every day. Just when you think you have heard it all, the phone rings yet again!

I teach a variety of courses, but am partial to Active Shooter for Telecommunicators. I can bring this training to your PSAP for the cost of travel plus a small teaching fee.

I also teach: Cultural Diversity, Stress Management, Liability, There's No Such thing as Routine, Tips and Tricks for Trainers, and numerous other courses.

Send me a message for more information about training.
